A collection of sketches by Jewish children who were held at a concentration camp in the former Czechoslovakia during WW2 is going on show at a Lancashire gallery. The images offer an insight into the experiences of the children in the death camps, and many of the children didn't make it out of the camps alive. When someone said that a piece is truly haunting that means that the artist of the painting or piece have captured something immutable. The show gathers together of 40 art works by children who was held in the concentration camps in where used be Czechoslovakia. These images are disturbing as they show how their poor living condition and how they still have to work regarding how young they are. These pictures were without a doubt saddening and moving.
I think that these pictures are not only an important history piece for the Jews but it is an important history piece for us the whole of mankind. Although we might have heard of the holocaust no one knows how its like in there ecxept through pictures and stories from the prisoners, but these paintings open my eyes on the condition of the children there in the camps. Also we always think that these camps were made to kill or to enslave the adults of the Jewish population but not children, in these 40 pictures they showed us how bad the situation was for them and how that we cannot allow anything like that to happen in future or now, that no race should be discriminated and massacred.
